Geology Technician - Resource Definition

Reporting to the Senior Resource Definition Geologist, the Geology Technician plays a critical role in supporting drilling and resource definition programs.

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work closely with geologists in a dynamic mining environment, contributing to the growth of mineral resources while developing valuable skills in RC and diamond drilling, sampling, and core yard operations.

Role responsibilities:

• Process RC sampling and diamond drill core accurately and efficiently, ensuring sample quality and minimal backlog.
• Support Resource Definition Geologists with field activities, drill rig operations, and core yard duties.
• Prepare drill sites by marking drill pads and sumps, identifying hazards, and ensuring sites are drill-ready.
• Conduct quality control checks on sample collection, documentation, and sample dispatch to laboratories.
• Maintain accurate geological records through data entry, sample tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to WHS requirements, participating in inspections, and following company procedures.

About you:

• C Class drivers manual license
• Field sampling experience
• Understand of RC and Core Drilling Methods
• Strong safety focus
• Forklift Ticket: Desirable
